# How to enrol a Mac in the Orchard platform
## This guide shows you how to complete a manual enrollment of a Mac into the Orchard platform.

### Important Information:
Please note that Orchard is only compatible with Macs running an Apple supported macOS version. This is currently macOS Sequoia and above.
You will need to be an administrator on your Mac to install the Orchard agent and enrol with your workspace.
### Step 1
Once signed in to the Orchard web platform, navigate to Settings \> Device Enrollment in the left-hand sidebar.
### Step 2
Click "Download .pkg" to download the installer to your computer.
### Step 3
Click "Generate your first workspace secret" and save the code it generates in a safe and secure place.
Please note that the code will only be shown once. If you misplace the code, you can generate a new one under "Workspace Secrets". This process will revoke any previously created keys.
Macs enrolled using revoked secrets will be unaffected.
### Step 4
On your Mac, install the downloaded .pkg file by double-clicking it's icon and following the on-screen instructions.
### Step 5
On your Mac, open the Terminal application. This can be found via a Spotlight search, or by navigating to the Utilities folder, inside the Applications folder.
Input the enrollment command with the following syntax:
```
sudo orchard enroll --secret YOUR-SECRET-KEY
```
Replacing "YOUR-SECRET-KEY" with the key you generated in step 3.
